01 / AI Act

Why address this now?

The AI Act is the European legal framework for artificial intelligence. One of its practical requirements is that organisations using AI take appropriate measures to support the AI literacy of the people working with it.

The obligation to take AI literacy measures has applied since 2 February 2025. Supervision and enforcement began in August 2026.

The AI Act does not prescribe a single universal course or a mandatory certificate. Measures should reflect the people involved, their experience and how the company actually uses AI.

That is exactly where we start.

What does the AI Act mean for an ordinary company?

For most companies it does not mean certification or an audit. It means knowing which AI tools are in use, what data people put into them, which rules apply, and how the company can show it has prepared its people.

IceBear Academy does not provide legal certification of compliance. We help put practical, documented AI literacy measures in place. Specific legal, privacy, security or sector questions may require separate expert assessment.

02 / The real problem

AI usually spreads through a company faster than the rules do.

Someone uses ChatGPT for copy. Someone uses Copilot for documents. Someone drops a client file into a new AI tool. Someone bases a decision on an AI analysis.

  • Which tools are in use?
  • What data do people put into them?
  • When are outputs checked?
  • What is and is not allowed?
  • How can the company show it is genuinely addressing AI literacy?

The problem is not that people use AI.
The problem is when the company does not know how.

09 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we need AI Ready if we only use ChatGPT or Copilot?

Yes. Even one tool means people are putting something into it and making decisions from what comes back. That is exactly where the boundaries blur.

Is this AI Act certification?

No. We do not provide legal certification of compliance. We help put practical AI literacy measures in place and document them.

Is the workshop legal training?

No. It is a practical workshop about using AI at work. We explain the legal context only as far as it helps people decide.

Does everyone need the same training?

No. Measures should reflect the role, the experience and how that person actually uses AI.

What if we use sensitive or high-risk AI?

Then a separate expert assessment is appropriate. The Kickstart builds the foundation; it does not fully cover specific regulatory obligations.
